My Orphans' Photographer

I had the opportunity to be selected as the photographer who traveled down with a non-profit organization, Orphanage Support Services Organization, and document what it is they do. I had volunteered with them previously for 3 months. For those 3 months, I served and loved each and every child I could. Some days were long, and tiring, but I pushed through and when I walked through the orphanage doors and those kids ran up to me yelling, "Hola Megan!" I suddenly didn't feel so tired.

Going back down to photograph/video for them was no different. It was exhausting. But oh so wonderful. I saw the kids again, and some remembered me and so many were new to me. But the love was the same, the feeling was the same. Only this time, I was able to use my talents and abilities to help an organization I love. This time, I felt even more so that I was making a difference. I love documentary work, especially for organizations like this one who strive to do all they can to help.

Here are some of my favorite photographs I took during my two weeks in Ecuador. (It's so hard to pick favorites though!)

If you felt anything or any desire to help this organization while scrolling through this small selection of my photographs, visit their site. See what you can do to sponsor an orphan, or volunteer!

Or, if you scrolled through and just loved my work I would love to document any special moment in your life. If it's special to you, it's special to me and worth documenting.
